This collection consists of various materials of Floyd B. Streeter. The collection includes a draft of a biographical sketch (incomplete and undated) of Clarence Monroe Burton, a historian, lawyer, and author in Michigan, who donated the Burton Historical Collection to the Detroit Public Library in 1914. The collection also contains a draft of a letter of application (incomplete and undated); typewritten copy of communication from H. Barnes to Gov. Kinsley S. Bingham, Detroit, Dec. 10, 1854, regarding politics and the press; abstracts of laws relating to the Territory of northwest Ohio, ca. 1800; tearsheets from The shamrock, the house organ of the Shamrock Oil and Gas Corp., which includes a biographical sketch of Streeter; and two essays, The modern college library, and The village of Hesston.
